The Macallan 12 Years Old 110 Proof Sherry Oak Collection is a more intense, deeper and more expressive take on The Macallan’s classic profile. Matured for 12 years exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks, this single malt preserves the refined elegance associated with the Speyside house, while its 110 proof strength, equal to 55% ABV, brings extra body, texture and aromatic concentration.
On the nose, it opens with a rich and enveloping character: dried fruits, figs, ripe plum, orange peel, sweet spices and polished oak. On the palate, it feels warm, broad and structured, revealing layers of sherry, caramelised apple, spiced cake, dark honey, cocoa, toasted nuts and elegant oak. Its higher strength is not just about power; it is about intensity, allowing the classic Sherry Oak 12 Years Old profile to appear with greater depth, presence and a more luxurious mouthfeel.
The finish is long, warm and persistent, with notes of molasses, oak spice, dried fruit and sherried sweetness. This is a Macallan for those who already know the classic range and want to experience a bolder, more collectible and more characterful interpretation of a sherry cask single malt. An edition that keeps The Macallan’s refined identity intact, but adds a denser, more daring and more memorable edge.
