For the 2022 Islay Jazz Festival, Lagavulin released this single malt, exclusively available from the distillery during the annual event.
Matured in American oak, this whisky was finished in brandy seasoned hogsheads before a total of 3,000 bottles were released at 14 years old.
On the nose there are aromas of golden syrup, plump sultana, demerara sugar and sultanas joined with some serious peat smoke. The palate is rich and smoky with a combination of earthiness, black pepper and a touch of spice.
