A single malt whisky inspired by an expertly crafted black tea created by JING Tea. Matured in a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks.
This whisky reflects the deeply complex flavours of the tea, providing an aroma reminiscent of incense for a deeply rewarding sensorial experience.
European Oak delivers a bold and deep rounded character, providing a rich dark fruitiness, toffee and warming tannins on the palate, with a smooth malty sweetness. With sweet oak notes that come from our sherry seasoned American oak casks, this whisky is exquisitely rounded off with a whisp of smoke delivered from hand selected casks to reflect the innovative addition of cherrywood smoke to the tea leaves that inspires this single malt.
Steeped in tradition and rich in storytelling, the synergies between The Macallan and JING Tea are celebrated in a ritual that unites heritage and artistry, celebrating tea culture, whilst using the vehicle of the ceremonial tea pet to tell The Macallan’s story.
The peacock, a symbol of natural colour and one of our Six Pillars celebrates the wonderful range of colour in our whiskies naturally derived by years of interaction with our sherry seasoned exceptional oak casks.
Honouring the collaboration and shared values, this delightful animation brings to life the tea story of this latest release of the Harmony Collection.
At The Macallan, we work with collaborators who share our values and a deep connection with nature. Whisky and tea begin with water and the land, each craft nurtured, steeped, and revealed through time.
As The Macallan is acorn to glass, JING Tea is garden to cup.
JING Tea exists to change how the world thinks about and experiences tea. Finding the most exciting teas to create incredible tea drinking experiences, and to support producers and their environments.
