Formiga de Vellut is an organic red wine from Priorat produced by Domini de la Cartoixa with the Grenache, Carignan and Syrah grape varieties and is aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels.
It is made with grapes from five of its fourteen organically farmed vineyard plots, based on the type of land and the adaptation of the strain to it.
Formiga de Vellut is a red wine with an intense cherry red color. It has a complex aroma, where red and black fruits stand out, combining with balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is a full and powerful wine, with a meaty and velvety finish, where ripe and fresh tannins are present.
