Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 was born from a triple aging process. In the first place, the rum rests for 5 years in its place of origin, the Caribbean, to later be transferred to the Williams & Humbert facilities, in Spain, where the rum will be subjected to two more aging phases for a period of 5 years.
Upon arrival, the rum is aged in American oak casks wrapped with Palo Cortado "Dos Cortados", subsequently passing into casks that have previously contained Pedro Ximénez "Don Guido". Both wines with an age of 20 years endorsed and certified by the DO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry.
This fusion of cultures allows harmony, balance and the perfect marriage of aromas and flavors to be achieved that make Dos Maderas PX 5+5 a unique rum in the world.
