Don Papa Baroko is distilled from locally produced molasses on the island of Negros.
It is then aged for several years in American oak barrels and blended by the cellar master to ensure consistency over the years.
After cold filtration, it is bottled at 40°.
What's the difference with the classic Don Papa? There is hardly any: a very exuberant rum-based "spirit drink". However, this change of name allows us to better distinguish it from the Don Papa 7 ans "nouvelle formule". The latter, which is due to arrive at the end of June 2020, will have the right to be called rum, and will be drier than the old one, with a significant difference in terms of its aromatic profile.
