Springbank 18 Year Old whisky is one of the most prestigious single malts from the Springbank Distillery, renowned for its complex, balanced, and deeply artisanal character. Aged for 18 years in a combination of casks—mainly sherry, along with bourbon and occasionally rum—it offers great aromatic richness and a very elegant evolution on the palate.
On the nose, the influence of sherry stands out with notes of ripe fruits such as dates and raisins, accompanied by sweet, citrusy, and lightly spiced nuances. On the palate, it is creamy and structured, with hints of coffee, tiramisu, red fruits, marzipan, and gentle spices, all wrapped in the characteristic lightly smoky and saline touch of Campbeltown. The finish is long, sweet, and persistent, with a very elegant maritime profile.
This is a whisky without chill filtration or artificial coloring, which enhances its authenticity and makes it a benchmark for both collectors and advanced enthusiasts seeking a complex dram with its own identity.
